The Cultural Alliance is committed to the power of arts and culture in our everyday lives.

From the people, by the people and for the people- our collective work recharges those we care about, adds meaning to our children’s education, energizes our neighborhoods and powers economic investment and revitalization.

We connect cultural resources to community needs; provide direct services for nonprofit cultural organizations; produce direct marketing programs for cultural consumers and lead cultural research, advocacy and policy work.

Our work is in three key areas:

Community Engagement
Our community engagement team works with our members to connect resources in the cultural sector to the needs of our region, ensuring that arts and culture are an asset for the greater health of our community.

Personal Engagement
The Cultural Alliance builds personal engagement through consumer directed programs such as Phillyfunguide and Funsavers. These programs are part of Engage 2020, a plan to dramatically increase cultural participation in our region through a combination of research, marketing and strategic grantmaking.

Policy Engagement
The Cultural Alliance advocates on behalf of the cultural community, working to grow support for the arts and for the cultural resources of our region. We produce and support research that demonstrates the value of arts and culture to our community.
