GRAMMY Live: Gig of a Lifetime 2013

CBS hosts the annual GRAMMY Awards and was looking to revamp our Garage to GRAMMYs program, which sends America's favorite local band to play at the GRAMMY Live show. Stuzo designed and developed the lastest iteration of the program with the task of beating last year's participation figures.

The Gig of a Lifetime social experience was designed to allow consumers to nominate their favorite local band, upload a video of a live gig, and notify the band of their nomination. A regional voting phase separated the top bands from the rest of the pack, and a winner would be selected in a finalist's voting round. Key mechanics and functionality include voting on Twitter through hashtag combinations, allowing consumers, bandmates, and managers to copy and paste a banner onto their websites, blogs, and other owned media to promote that band, and also enabled the band to add the entire voting experience to their band's Facebook page as a custom voting module to drive awareness and engagement around their nomination.
